The conference aims to gather researchers from all around the world –specialists on Logothetis’ music or young researchers– who are interested in graphic representation of sound and will approach his music and his unique graphic musical notation.
The topics of the conference should be referenced to Anestis Logothetis' work and include:
- Graphic scores and figurative sound
- Aesthetics in A. Logothetis work
- Hoerspiel and electroacoustic works
- Cybernetics and music
- Space and music
- Educational aspect of a sound image
- Viennese Actionism, Fluxus and contemporary art
- Early works of A. Logothetis
These topics are merely suggestions. The scientific committee will examine all proposals
The presentations shall be 20 minutes long followed by 10 minutes for further discussion and questions.
The paper proposal should include: title, name of proposer, an abstract of 250-300 words, a short cv (250 words maximum) and contact details (participant’s name, name of the institution, email and postal address).
Proposals must be submitted by email until 20th April 2012 to baveli.mariadimitra@gmail.com and georgaki@music.uoa.gr.
The official languages of presentation are German and Greek with simultaneous translation. The printed material will be in English.
The tribute to Anestis Logothetis will take place at the Onassis Cultural Centre (Information and map) on 8 & 9 June 2012.
